Summary: Nuclear Power Plant structures are essentially passive under normal operating conditions, but play a key role in mitigating the impact of extreme/abnormal operating and environmental events. Continuous integrity of the structures shall be ensured in all phasis of their lifecycle by controlling and mitigating aging related degradation. The presentation describes the elements of effective aging management. It also discusses the lessons learned in implementation of aging management including the key element of aging management, a systematic and rigorous condition assessment.
