The Canadian Nuclear Society supports the 25th Pacific Basin Nuclear Conference (PBNC) held in conjunction with the 41th Korea Atomic Power (KAP) Annual Conference in 2026

The Canadian Nuclear Society is please to support the 25th Pacific Basin Nuclear Conference (PBNC) which will be held in conjunction with the 41th Korea Atomic Power (KAP) Annual Conference in 2026 and cordially invite you to submit your papers.

The PBNC is focused on areas of nuclear energy, engineering and science and policy issues that accompany nuclear energy programs throughout the Pacific Rim. The first meeting was held in 1976 in Honolulu, Hawaii, USA. Subsequent meetings have been held about every two years under the joint sponsorship of the Pacific Nuclear Council (PNC) and a sponsoring PNC Member Society. The KAP Conference has been held annually since 1986 and is recognized as the largest nuclear industry conference and exhibition in Korea. We believe that the joint hosting of PBNC and KAP will bridge cutting-edge research with practical applications, fostering stronger collaboration between academia and industry.

The theme of PBNC 2026 is “Nuclear Energy for AI-Powered World”, highlighting the critical role of nuclear energy in building a sustainable, AI-powered future.

The PNBC 2026 technical program will cover, but not be limited to, the following topics:

1. AI Applications for Nuclear Innovation
2. Advanced Reactors
