Second Call for Abstracts for SMiRT28
28th International Conference on
Structural Mechanics in Reactor Technology (SMiRT28)
Theme: Harnessing Nuclear Technologies and Innovation as a Path to Net Zero by 2050
When: August 10th – 15th, 2025
Where: The Westin Harbour Castle, Toronto, ON
We are excited to announce that SMiRT28 is now accepting abstracts. The organizing committee eagerly invites and values your contributions. This e-blast provides a list of topics that the conference will focus on, with some instructions and details on the submission process.
We are deeply grateful for your interest in SMiRT28 and look forward to hosting you next year in Toronto. As Canada moves toward its net zero target by 2050, Nuclear Energy is a key factor in achieving that goal.
About:
- SMIRT28 is dedicated to Harnessing Nuclear Technologies and Innovation as a Path to Net Zero by 2050, a mission that inspires and motivates us all.
- As proud host of SMiRT28, Toronto holds a special place in Canada’s nuclear landscape. It is known as the “The Nuclear Energy Capital” housing two of the largest multi-unit stations: Pickering and Darlington. This unique setting further underscores the importance of the conference’s focus on nuclear technologies and innovation.
- This conference will bring the international community together to share knowledge, and advancements in nuclear technologies.
