1. Draft Paper Submission Deadline July 2nd, 2024 

The conference Technical Committee is pleased to report that we received over 70 abstracts across the spectrum of topics related to small reactor technologies, applications, development and deployment. The deadline for papers based on accepted manuscripts is Tuesday, July 2, 2024.

Papers are to be 8 to 12 pages in length and submitted in English using the provided template. Consult the Call for Papers for additional information and to submit your manuscript. Authors will be informed of the acceptance of manuscripts by August 6. For additional information, contact Dr. Hazem Mazhar and Dr. Chuk Azih. 

2. Registration and Accommodation Bookings Now Open

The registration portal for the G4SR conference is now open, offering early bird pricing until August 24, 2024. The last two in-person G4SR conferences sold out, so register soon to secure your spot and enjoy the discounted rates.

Accommodations are available at The Westin Ottawa, with a special conference rate valid until August 29, 2024. Make your reservation online through the Canadian Nuclear Society reservation page. 

3. Conference Workshops

We are pleased to announce the five conference workshops that will take place October 1st, 2024: 

• Safety Considerations for Hydrogen-Nuclear Coupling (full day) 
• Indigenous Engagement (half day) 
• Nuclear Integrated Energy Systems (full day) 
• Use of AI in Nuclear Applications (full day) 
• Framework for Micro/Research Reactor Deployment (full day) 

Workshops have separate fees not included with general registration. If you have already registered, please log in to your account on the conference registration portal to update your workshop selection and payment.
