Using the term renewable and notably including hydro has often been used to suggest that wind and solar based grids are possible.  But the defining feature of wind and solar is not that they are renewable it is that the power they produce cannot be relied.  We were pleased to point this out in our debunking of an article buy a wind and solar enthusiast on the TVO website.
