Nuclear power continues to advance the clean energy transition in Canada quietly and without great fanfare – this time with the substantial completion of the major component replacement of Bruce Power Generating Station Unit 6. This is the first of six reactors that will undergo refurbishment and extend the life of the station past 2060 (after completed refurbishment of units 1 and 2 in 2012). Following this milestone, refueling is set to begin in advance of returning the reactor to service later this year.
