SUMMARY:13th International Conference on CANDU Fuel
DESCRIPTION:Conference \nThe 12th International Fuel Conference that was held in 2013 was a great success. Participants who attended the last conference were from 8 different countries. They discussed innovative ideas to ensure that CANDU Fuel continued its reputation as a safe\, reliable and flexible fuel option. The success of the conference was made possible through generous sponsorships by over 15 prominent organizations in the nuclear community. \nThe Canadian Nuclear Society will again be hosting an international conference to ensure the continued success of CANDU Fuel far into the future. The 13th International Conference on CANDU Fuel will be taking place in Kingston\, Ontario at the Holiday-Inn Waterfront Hotel on August 15-18\, 2016. The Royal Military College of Canada will once again be chairing this conference. \nThese conferences bring together leading experts\, strong designers\, engineers\, manufacturers\, researchers and modellers to discuss and share their knowledge and experience of CANDU Fuel performance\, safety and design. Similar to the 12th Conference\, a special event to recognize senior and retired individual contributors to nuclear fuel technology and development will also be held. \nAbove is a group picture from the 12th International Conference on CANDU Fuel \nImportant Dates \n\n2015 October 2             Early Bird Registration (2015 Oct 2- 2016 June 30)\n2016 February 12         Extension of On-line Submission of Abstracts \n2016 March 31              Notification of the Acceptance of Abstracts\n2016 May 01                 Deadline for Submission of Draft Papers\n2016 May 01                 Nominations for Fuel Technologies Award is due\n2016 May 30                 Notification of Acceptance of Full Papers\n2016 June 30                Early Bird Registration Closes\n2016 June 30                Deadline for Final Version of Papers\n\nNow accepting nominations for a new award to recognize senior or retired individuals who have contributed greatly to the field of Nuclear Fuel.
