SUMMARY:3rd International Technical Meeting on Small Reactors
DESCRIPTION:Presentations\nClick here for the conference plenary presentations. \nPhotos\nClick here for the conference photos. \nObjective\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAtomic Energy of Canada Limited (AECL) and Canadian Nuclear Society (CNS) are hosting the 3rd International Technical Meeting on Small Reactors. There is growing international interest and activity in the development of small nuclear reactor technology including building prototypes and research reactors. This meeting will provide participants with an opportunity to share ideas and exchange information on new developments. \nFollowing the success of the 2nd Technical Meeting in November 2012\, which captured the achievements\, capabilities\, and future prospects of small reactors\, this 3rd Technical Meeting is dedicated to the applications of research reactors and small modular reactors. \nThis Technical Meeting will cover topics of interest to designers\, operators\, researchers and analysts involved in the design\, development and deployment of small reactors for research and power generation. A special track is planned to focus on small modular reactors (SMR) for generating electricity and process heat\, particularly in small grids and remote locations. \nA technical tour of the Chalk River Laboratories will be hosted by AECL for all interested attendees on November 7. It will include the ZED-2 and NRU reactors. \nRegistration\nClick here to register online. \nNote: To register as a CNS member\, your membership must be in good standing for 2014All prices include HST (#870488889 RT). \n\n\n\n\nRegistering: \n\n\nBy Sept. 30 \n\n\nAfter Sept. 30 \n\n\n\n\nCNS Member \n\n\n$630 \n\n\n$710 \n\n\n\n\nNon CNS Member \n\n\n$680 \n\n\n$760 \n\n\n\n\nCNS Retiree Member \n\n\n$310 \n\n\n$360 \n\n\n\n\nFull-Time Student (CNS Member) \n\n\n$320 \n\n\n$370 \n\n\n\n\nConference Program\nClick here for the Conference Program \nCall for Papers\nClick here to download / share the Call for Papers (PDF) document \n\n\n\n\n\n\nKey Dates\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAbstract submission………………………………..June 29\, 2014Acceptance/author notification…………………..
