SUMMARY:6th CNS International Steam Generator Conference
DESCRIPTION:Management of Real-Life Equipment Conditions and Solutions for the Future\n \nHilton Toronto Toronto\, Ontario\n  \n  \nContents\n\nBackground\nProgram\nPaper Abstracts\n\nAbstract Format and Submission\n\n\nPapers: Template\, Submission Procedure\, and Copyright\nRegistration\nImportant Dates\nHotels\nMore Information\n\n\nBackground\nTop of Page \nThe 6th CNS International Steam Generator Conference\, which is sponsored and organized by the Canadian Nuclear Society\, Design & Materials Division\, will follow in the tradition of the five predecessor Toronto Conferences of 1990\, 1994\, 1998\, 2002 and 2006. \nThis conference provides a wide ranging forum on nuclear steam generator technology from degradation root-cause assessment to life-cycle management to inspection and maintenance as well as functional and structural performance characteristics; it does not focus on equipment architecture or design. The 6th conference has again adopted the theme: \nManagement of Real-Life Equipment Conditions and Solutions for the Future \nThis theme is particularly appropriate given the current renewed focus on the long-term reliability of Alloy 800 steam generator tubing material; and on the life-cycle-management measures necessary to enhance that reliability given the lessons-learned from recent and ongoing operating experience. \nThe conference objective is to explore the current condition of existing steam generation equipment\, with emphasis on solutions for improving performance and service-life for existing equipment and the application of this knowledge to the next generation of replacement and new-build steam generators.
