SUMMARY:CANDU Maintenance & Nuclear Component Conference
DESCRIPTION:Location: Venue: Hilton Mississauga/Meadowvale\, 6750 Mississauga Road\, Mississauga ON. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nMaintenance and Nuclear Components Conference – Fostering Innovation\n\n\n\nIntroduction:\n\n\n\nThe CNS Nuclear Operations and Maintenance Division is excited to be back in 2022 with our CanadianMaintenance and Nuclear Component Conference in November. The focus for this year’s conference willbe “Fostering Innovative Industry Advancements” across our nuclear fleets to ensure nuclear powergeneration remains a leading sustainable supplier of electricity. Strategic Operations & Maintenance\, and life-extension techniques allow plants to operate continuously in a moreefficient safe manner to continue to deliver low-cost electricity. \n\n\n\nDesired Outcome:\n\n\n\nWe want to create an opportunity for our nuclear professionals\, most importantly our young innovators\,to positively collaborate their successes and challenges to help grow the nuclear industry. The industryexpects nuclear to be available as the safe low-cost baseload generator. With our aging fleets\,innovation to drive effective strategic maintenance is essential to delivering our vision. \n\n\n\nAbstracts Topics:\n\n\n\n\nBenchmarking Programs\n\nInnovation in Major Component Replacements\n\n\n\nComponent Degradation/Life Extension Programs\n\n\n\nOPEX and lessons learned from recent maintenance activities\n\n\n\nMeeting the challenges of emerging issues\n\n\n\nSuccession Planning & Attracting Young Professionals to the Industry\n\n\n\n\n\nRemote Inspections/Robotic Systems\n\nRadiation Safety\n\n\n\nNovel inspection techniques\n\n\n\nInspection Tooling\n\n\n\n\n\nObsolescence & Parts-related issues\n\nNovel or Innovative solutions for life extension\n\n\n\n3D Printing\n\n\n\nEquipment Reliability\, analytics and condition monitoring\n\n\n\nApplication of codes and standards\n\n\n\n\n\nBringing Innovation to the Industry\n\nApplication of codes and standards\n\n\n\nRegulatory issues\n\n\n\nDelivering low-cost electricity\n\n\n\nApplication of Artificial Intelligence\n\n\n\n\n\nMaintenance Applications\n\nSteam generator tubing and other components\n\n\n\nCANDU fuel channels\n\n\n\nPiping systems\n\n\n\nMajor heat exchangers\n\n\n\nMaintenance case studies\n\n\n\nMaintenance programs\, plans\, and achievements\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAbstracts of proposed presentations are to be no more than 300 words in length.
