SUMMARY:Nuclear 2010
DESCRIPTION:Purpose\nNuclear 2010 Conference will reflect the efforts of the nuclear energy scientists\, operators\, industry\, regulatory bodies and other decision-makers to prove that nuclear power is a component of the sustainable development. \nNuclear 2010 makes also the necessary link with the high education inviting Professors and students from technical Universities.Nuclear 2010 intends to be an arena for an open exchange of expertise and debates in the Conference topics. \nNuclear 2010 is structured as a three-day meeting consisting in plenary sessions\, parallel sessions\, poster presentations and round tables. \nAll papers are included in the IAEA’s INIS DATABASE \nA technical visit will follow the Conference on May 28\, 2010. \n  \n  \n  \nContext\nNuclear 2010 continues to address the major objectives and challenges facing research and technology for nuclear energy today in the context of the increase of the energy supply security and the reduction of the green house-gas emissions. The first two editions of this Conference\, were attended by participants from all over the world: Canada\, Belgium\, France\, Italy\, Spain\, South-Africa\, UK\, China\, Egypt\, Lybia\, Koreea\, Japan\, and Romania\, representing well known research centers\, universities\, governmental organizations\, nuclear industry. \nThe proceedings of these conferences addressed the priority themes of nuclear power from the perspective of the challenges posed by the future of the energy sector and by the climate change. The nuclear energy regains more and more the recognition of its importance in the energy mix of developed countries\, but increasing public trust and acceptance is still necessary. \nThe previous conferences revealed the international research efforts to solve the scientific and technical issues regarding the most competitive systems of nuclear reactors and the problems that affect or limit the acceptance of nuclear power: safety\, waste management and environmental protection\, ensuring a high professional performance of the staff involved in this area. \nImportant Deadlines\nFebruary 26\, 2010 – Abstract submission and registrationMarch 15\, 2010 – Notification for paper acceptanceApril 16\, 2010 – Full papers submissionApril 30\, 2010 – Paper acceptance \nTopics\nThe conference agenda will examine and explore the following topics: \nI. Nuclear Energy \n\nNuclear Safety and Severe Accidents \nNuclear Reactors \nNuclear Technologies and Materials\n\nII. Environmental Protection \n\nRadioprotection \nRadioactive Waste Management \nAir\, Water and Soil Protection\n\nIII. Sustainable Development \n\nPolices and Strategies in Nuclear \nResearch Research Infrastructures \nEducation\, Continuous Formation and Knowledge Transfer \nInternational Partnerships for a Sustainable Development\n\nLanguage\nPapers should be written in English\, but the official languages of the Conference are both Romanian and English. Translation will be provided. \nAbstract\nThe organizing Committee invites abstracts of original papers\, dealing with the Conference topics\, presenting the purpose\, results and conclusions of the work in a maximum 500 words. \nParticipation Fee: 150 EURO\nThe participation fee includes registration\, conference papers\, technical visit\, lunches and the conference dinner.
